Choose the right detail for each cabinet front.
Cabinet knobs
A knob can keep a small door or drawer front visually simple. Compare its diameter, projection and grip with the door profile. A sample helps establish whether its shape is comfortable and whether it clears the surrounding trim.
Pulls & bar pulls
Pulls create a line across a drawer or along a door. Review the overall length and the center-to-center mounting dimension separately: they are not the same measurement. Coordinate the proportion across narrow drawers, wide fronts and tall storage.
Cup pulls & specialty shapes
Where offered in the selected collection, cup pulls and other decorative shapes provide a different grip and visual character. Check hand access, mounting details and the direction in which the cabinet front will move.
Appliance pulls
Appliance panels need hardware selected for that use. Confirm the appliance and panel requirements, grip, projection and attachment details with the exact pull specification. A long cabinet pull is not automatically a suitable appliance pull.
Backplates & accessories
A backplate can add a contrasting detail behind a knob or pull. Check its coverage, size and compatibility with the chosen hardware. When replacing old handles, review existing holes and surface marks before assuming a plate will cover them.

Coordinate the finish
Lay the cabinet sample beside the countertop, backsplash and hardware. Review the relationship to faucets, lighting and appliances. You can repeat one finish or mix metals deliberately; the aim is a coherent room, not a match based only on a finish name.
Confirm the mounting size
Center-to-center means the distance between the centers of the mounting holes. Check the manufacturer's drawing for the exact selected item, including projection and fasteners. On existing cabinets, measure the current holes before choosing replacements.
Approve the placement
Review vertical and horizontal positioning with the door profile, drawer divisions and appliance panels. Use a sample or drilling template to confirm the look and clearance. Avoid drilling from a catalog photograph or an approximate product measurement.
Record the complete selection

How do I choose the right cabinet pull size?+
Consider drawer or door proportions, hand clearance and the selected collection's available mounting dimensions. Compare a sample where possible. The overall pull length differs from its center-to-center hole spacing, so both measurements need to be checked.
Should cabinet hardware match the faucet and lighting?+
It can match or form part of a deliberate mixed-metal palette. Compare the actual finishes with the cabinet, faucet, lighting, countertop and backsplash instead of relying on product names alone.
Can Top Knobs hardware be used on bathroom vanities and closets?+
Yes, suitable decorative hardware can be selected for vanity and closet cabinetry as well as kitchens. Confirm the exact product, mounting requirements, finish suitability and clearance for each cabinet.
When should cabinet hardware be selected?+
Select it during cabinet design so dimensions, drilling and delivery can be coordinated. Appliance pulls and specialty mounting details should be confirmed with the cabinet and appliance specifications.
Do I need the hardware before cabinet doors are drilled?+
Have the exact approved item and its mounting information confirmed before drilling; a physical sample is useful for checking placement and grip. Do not drill based on a similar-looking pull or an unapproved size.
